KOSUN mud tank is a large storage container used to hold reserves and handle of drilling fluid, also known as drilling mud, for a drill rig on the ground. Open topped and divided into several compartments, KOSUN mud tank is equipped with a guard rail and a catwalk allowing people to look into the tank to check on the level and consistency of the drilling fluid.
As a mud carrier, mud tank is an indispensable part in mud circulation system, and it can complete weighting, mixing, solid-liquid separating, degassing and other processes. Drilling rig mud tank carries the mud circulating between well head and mud pump. The solids phase particles in mud are separated stage by stage through relevant solids control equipment on mud tanks as to make the fluid meet drilling requirements after mixing and weighting system.
